HR Advisor - Stanford-le-Hope

Salary: Competitive

Location: Stanford-le-Hope (due to office location own transport is essential)

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm

Work from home option? Yes! 2x days per week at home and 3x days per week in the office

The Company:

We are delighted to be representing a well-established, family-run business within the food distribution sector based local to Stanford-le-Hope. This is a juicy and exciting standalone HR position - you will have ongoing support from the Group HR Manager (who is based at another site for most of the week) but will have the autonomy to manage the site's HR processes as your own, working closely with Site Managers to ensure HR procedures are in place and best practice is maintained.

Accountabilities of the HR Advisor include:

*The HR Advisor will engage directly with managers and employees to support the business on a range of employee relations issues.
*To provide effective advice, support and administration for a broad range of HR activities including payroll co-ordination, HRIS database administration & reporting, recruiting, staff induction and general office administration.
*To assist the Business Unit Director and Group HR Manager with employee relations issues as and when required.
*To process new starters to include joiner packs, induction documentation, co-ordinating probation administration, liaison with payroll, referencing and background checks, pensions, HRIS system), references requests, reimbursement forms, notifying IT of new starters (account setup).
*To compile disciplinary invitation/outcome letters as and when required.
*To process leavers including handling leaver documentation, recording leaver information, referencing), book exit interviews/induction follow-ups for all employees.
*To draft HR documentation using templates including offer letters, contracts, changes to terms and conditions of employment, maternity, paternity, parental, adoption leave, unpaid leave requests and flexible working requests.
*To co-ordinate training including scheduling and recording training undertaken, updating training calendar, liaising with training providers,
*issuing training invitations and coordinating attendance for internal courses, setting up rooms.
*To liaise with payroll (external provider) to ensure timely co-ordination of payroll and benefits data on a weekly and monthly basis.
*To calculate total hours for weekly paid employees on a daily basis.
*To co-ordinate Occupational Health visits to include scheduling, health surveillance and management referrals.
*To assist with the preparation for the annual HR processes, including salary review, bonuses, pension renewal and performance appraisals.

To be considered for the position:

*You will be a confident and enthusiastic HR Advisor with experience including (but not limited to) - employment legislation, restructures, training, responsibility for issues such as the appointment and dismissal of staff, grievance, disciplinary procedures, absence management, redundancy, attending formal hearings etc.
*You will be CIPD Level 3 accredited minimum
*Due to the site location, own transport is essential
