Multiskilled Engineer (Days)

Henderson Brown are proudly partnered with a well-established and market leading national FMCG business who are looking to recruit a Multiskilled Engineer at their Sittingbourne site in Kent.

This role is vital in ensuring that the engineering operation runs smoothly and consistently by providing both electrical and mechanical preventative and reactive support across an array of equipment and machinery. The role is days only, 7am-7pm on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.

Due to scale of the company and their exciting growth plans for 2022 (which are currently underway) the company offers fantastic internal progression opportunities for those Engineers that are looking for career investment and job security.

Duties of the Multiskilled Engineer:
*Respond and attend to breakdowns promptly and carry out accurate repairs to minimise downtime
*Carry out day to day preventative maintenance tasks
*Carry out mechanical and electrical fault-finding tasks
*Perform high quality root cause analysis for technical and process problems
*Support and coach the operational teams in resolving technical issues on the machines.
*Suggest and implement continuous improvement
*Be attentive with health and safety and follow safe working practices.

Experience required:
*Previous engineering experience within an FMCG environment or similar
*Mechanical and electrical skills with the relevant qualifications e.g., 18th Edition
*Experience working with and installing single /three phase electrical circuits would be advantageous
*The successful candidate will be technically minded and enjoy being hands on and proactive
*A team player who can work collaboratively with the wider team and make sensible engineering decisions with speed.
