Commutable from Huddersfield, Bradford, Selby, Leeds, Wakefield, Halifax, Tadcaster
£40,000 + Overtime
4on 4off Days & Nights - 12 Hour Shifts

Our client is a leading fresh food processing & packaging manufacturer, with a reputation for product quality which is second to none and industry leading standards. They are looking for a number of Multi-Skilled Engineers (Electrical Biased) to join their expanding team. An exciting opportunity join one of the top UK, blue-chip food manufacturers, supplying into all the major supermarkets

Role & Responsibilities:

*Carry out day-to-day maintenance tasks and site repairs to assist operations in achieving maximum productivity and performance
*Working on different production lines, producing a variety of different fresh & frozen food products
*Conduct maintenance machinery schedules & PPM's and document
*Carry out fault finding and planned preventative maintenance on all machinery & equipment
*Working on such equipment as, roller, chain & belt conveyors, motors, gearboxes, inverters, packaging machinery, depositors, blast freezers, ovens, mixers, labellers, shrinkwrappers, palletisers, PLC's, refrigeration, site services
*Project work - machine upgrades, modifications, & continuous improvement work
*Carry out both electrical & mechanical fault finding & maintenance daily
*At the end of a shift be responsible for completing engineering logbook, to record stock removed from engineering stores, ensuring accurate stock control & auditing

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

*Must be a multi-skilled maintenance engineer and have served an accredited apprenticeship
*Educated to a minimum City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Engineering
*PLC - electrical fault-finding skills
*Beneficial to have worked in a food manufacturing environment
*As a minimum must have come from a FMCG / fast-paced industry
*Must have strong electrical & mechanical fault-finding skills - able to work on own initiative
*Be a strong communicator, working closely with multiple discipline engineering & production teams
*Attitude is everything, positive, enthusiastic, willing to train & develop
*Must have excellent understanding of engineering systems, stores & PPM documentation
*Any experience of lean manufacturing & continuous improvement techniques a bonus

Shifts & Benefits Package:

*Shift:-12hr Shifts - 4 Days / 4 Off / 4 Nights / 4 Off (7-7)
*Salary:- £40,000 + Overtime
