Health and safety should never be an afterthought in any environment, especially within the food and drinks manufacturing industry. Sadly, it is not unheard of that H+S professionals are having to fight the daily battle to have their voice heard.

This role combines both H+S as well as environmental factors. It is essential that you are passionate about driving both elements. Health and safety knowledge within manufacturing is a must, environmental would prove an advantage but not essential as the site will also provide training.
You will be fully competent as the singular health and safety professional on site that will be supported by and report into the GM.
You will be an influential character as will be responsible for providing advice to the management team on Health, Safety and environmental issues. The site prefer to take a consultative approach to health and safety and the right candidate will enjoy the educational aspect of actions taken across site.
You will also get involved in training and assist with all risk assessments, surveys, inspections and audits on site. You will be vigilant in your approach in all aspects of the role and be able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail to ensure that their high standards are maintained at all times.
Previous health, safety and environmental experience is essential for this position as well as relevant H&S and Environmental qualifications. Of course, you will also have prior experience working within the food and drinks manufacturing industry.
