Assistant Production Manager x2 – Kent
Salary circa £35,000 pa - £40,000 pa

The Assistant Production Managers will take hands-on responsibility for ensuring Team Leaders and Production Operatives are working effectively within a modern Food Manufacturing site that has a fair degree of complexity. This will involve supervising around 15 to 20 production staff across Early and/or Back shifts (no night shift).
The Assistant Production Manager will ensure adherence to the production plan including overseeing line changeovers to ensure productivity and workflow is not disrupted. There will also be involvement in Improvement activities and KPI monitoring such as H&S, Yield, Waste Management and Errors / Non-Conformance.
The areas where the Assistant Production Managers will support the Production & Operations team includes: Planning and Organising of Production including goods-in, stock replenishment and finished products, ii) Supervision and allocation of tasks to production personnel, iii) Commitment and dedication to delivering fantastic customer service.
There will be an opportunity to get involved with CI work aimed at improving processes, efficiencies and reducing costs. Also ensuring Team Leaders are appropriately skilled, carryout out training where skills gaps exit. The Assistant Production Managers will drive performance through control and review systems and minimise waste across Packaging and Raw Materials.
Candidates ‘must have’ at least 18 months supervisory/management experience of leading production teams within a BRC accredited Food Manufacturing environment, combined with the ability to communicate & influence team members and peers. Experience within a Filling / Mixing / Packaging environment would benefit your application.
