Commercial / Operations Manager

NEW ROLE FOR SITE GM

Position:

General Manager - this role involves all aspects of the business, and experience of sales and marketing would be a distinct advantage.

Reporting to:

Managing Director

Role Responsibility:

Plan, direct and co-ordinate the operations of the business.  Plan and maintain systems and procedures for operating efficiency.  Manage staff for optimum performance.

Key Accountability:

• Oversee daily Operations to maximise operational efficiency;

• Optimising yield results;

• Optimising Line efficiency;

• Maximise order fulfilment;

• Evaluate current business processes and systems;

• Develop / support customer relationships by meeting businesses objectives and by understanding how operational performance impact internal and external customers;

• Efficiently and effectively manage personnel and resources;

• Responsible for direct reports’ performance against agreed KPIs facilitating employee recognition;

• Ensure and hold direct reports accountable for meeting and controlling operating expenses and established targets;
• Directly manage all day to day functions including Operations, Technical and Engineering;
• Accurate, timely submission of reports to Managing Director including business updates;
• Create a culture for safety on site with emphasis on housekeeping and good maintenance practices and compliance at the highest level with H&S legislation;
• Shared responsibility for concession approval (with Technical Manager and Managing Director);
• Shared responsibility for facilities management to include: the evaluation of proposed machinery, factory construction and optimisation of site usage;
