Critical role within a high performing procurement function.

This business is the UK's leading producer of chilled ready meals, supplying many of the UK's retailers. They make millions of ready prepared meals every week, from Macaroni Cheese to Fish Pies, Lasagne to cocktail sausages, Vegetarian and Vegan dishes, making over 500 different meals across our sites for our customers. As the market leader in chilled ready meals, the quality and integrity of their food is beyond question, and the procurement Team across the business not only select the best suppliers and products but set up the incoming supply chain to ensure they have the freshness and flexibility they need.

The Procurement Analyst role is a key recruitment for them. Reporting to the CPO the successful candidate will be have highly developed analytical skills, used to working with sophisticated software, and will have an appetite for information and analysis. Strong attention to detail, an outgoing nature and an ability to assess and provide information quickly and effectively will be characteristics you will already possess, and will want to work as part of a close team both supporting the Heads of Procurement and the CPO in a fast moving and ever changing environment.

You'll be confident in working across several sites, and building effective relationship with Finance, IT and Commercial teams to provide them support in delivering their objectives. You'll be responsible for key financial reporting, the construction and implementation of forecasts, maintenance of master data, and support in tenders, supplier negotiations and supplier reviews. There is every opportunity to develop the role in line with both the procurement strategy and the business plan.

The successful candidate will already be working in an Analyst role in a commercial, procurement or supply chain function within a fast moving business. You will have first class numerate and analytical skill and be highly IT literate. High level Excel skills are essential along with familiarity with System 21 and TM1 would be a real advantage.

Along with the relevant technical skills your personality will be they key to success in this role. Excellent communications skills and the ability to co-ordinate complex tasks across multiple stakeholders in a fast paced environment will challenge you. Yet it is the ability to turn complex data into real insight that can be communicated back to the business will be the ultimate challenge.

You'll be confident and friendly with experience of working within a fast paced, ever changing environment. There is an element of flexibility around location and the role will involve travel and home working.
