Hygiene Operatives, Hooton Street, Nottingham, NG3 2NJ

Shifts : Tuesday to Saturday

9.00 pm start until finish Weekday / 8pm start Weekends.

Salary: £8.72 plus a 40p per hour Shift Allowance and holiday premium.

Barrowcliffes Ltd, the UK's leading suppliers of prepared fresh vegetables to food manufacturers supplying to major supermarkets have a permanent opportunity for an Operative in the Hygiene Department based at their production facility in Nottingham.

About the Role

You will work on the Night Shift working pattern, joining a team of Operatives who ensure the food production facility is cleaned to a very high standard and that all machinery is free of any contamination.

This role is on a full-time basis and you will be responsible for:

• Adhering to health and safety regulations
• Following precise cleaning procedures
• Working safely with cleaning chemicals
• Recording jobs done on worksheets
• Identifying and reporting any damage found to the belts, machinery or equipment

Experience not essential as full training will be given.

About You

You will be an excellent team player, hardworking, reliable and be able to work at very high standards. 

You will also possess a “get stuck in” attitude to all cleaning jobs.

Skills and Qualifications You Have

Basic understanding of English both reading and writing

Good team communication skills

Comfortable working on own initiative

Ability to read and understand procedural instructions which are written in English

Thorough and well organised

Food Safety Level 2 and/or COSHH Certifications would be ideal but not essential.
