Fascinated by nutrition? Ever wonder who supplies behind the ingredients that you see in your favourite nutrition and wellbeing brands? This is a booming sector and the vitamin market alone is worth an estimated £424m in the UK! Here’s a chance to be part of it.
We’re looking for a Business Development Manager on behalf of a company that has a massive customer base across a whole host of players in the vitamins and supplements market. From retailers who have their own product offerings, through to the best-known sports nutrition brands in the UK, and some of the real up-and-coming, innovative businesses that are starting to make their mark on this category, this company supplies them all with the ingredients and expertise they need to make themselves stand out in a really competitive industry.
You'll need a strong commercial mind - this isn't just about turnover, its about understanding your margins and how you can add value to your customers to create long-term partnerships.
We’re looking for someone who has an interest in nutrition. You must be able to talk about market trends, innovative products you’ve seen and your favourite brands. We also need to see at least 4 years' experience in a sales role - experience of Joint Business Plans and P&L responsibility for demanding customers would be highly advantageous. If you're an NAE looking for a bigger challenge, or a JNAM looking to step up, something like this might be ideal. Likewise, if you've recently been promoted to National Account Manager but you're working in a category that's not all that exciting, this might reinvigorate you.
We need to see a track record of delivering exceptional results. There won’t be any reliance on someone leaving or moving internally in order to progress your career here – your destiny will be firmly in your own hands. The company has huge ambition, so this could be a career-defining role.
