Engineering Coordinator


55 – 60K


On a day to day basis, the Engineering Co Ordinator is responsible for co ordinating the maintenance technicians and ensuring they have scope of works outlined in a maintenance plan.  Assisting in delivering a high-quality maintenance service to production.  The Co Ordinator must ensure that maintenance is planned efficiently, effectively, safely and in line with the maintenance strategy.



  • Responsible for planning and coordinating the execution of the preventive maintenance
  • Providing maintenance support, entering data, updating equipment records, produce performance reports and participating in continuous improvement
  • Assist maintenance technicians carry out Technical support for the plant facilities and services, including compressed air, refrigeration etc
  • Responsible for management of CMMs system on site, ensuring all stock levels are maintained to satisfactory levels
  • Identifying areas of improvement within machinery-based maintenance
  • Support Maintenance Team in achieving targets using TPM to identify areas of improvement and Root Cause Analysis to design out issue
  • Work as part of an OEE team to drive efficiency throughout plant and lower costs
  • Work with equipment suppliers on new equipment and installations and modifications
  • Preparing the work assignment so that all necessary materials and resources are available to deliver an efficient work plan
  • Recording of all damage to equipment and reporting to engineering supervisor on it
  • Manage the team to build morale and get the best from our people
  • Setting goals and objectives of the maintenance technicians
  • Assist with ensuring apprentices receive appropriate training
  • Identify, manage, and resolve work related disciplinary action and escalate issues as necessary from the team to the Engineering Manager
  • Identify and monitor training needs within your team and department


The ideal candidate

  • 3rd level degree essential
  • At least 3 years team management experience
  • Previous food manufacturing experience is essential
