The job

Reporting to the Quality Manager, as Quality Technician, you will audit, inspect and investigate routines within the factory environment, reporting any non-conformances or food safety issues.

Typical duties include:

  • Conduct routine food production line checks
  • Sample, check and book in WIP and finished products
  • Complete daily temperature and humidity checks
  • Complete daily reports, GMP audits and glass & plastic audits
  • Carry out calibration checks, barcode checks and sensory panels
  • Assist with the goods in checks and deliveries
  • Review training material and assist in the preparation before external audits

Your experience

A clear passion for food safety is essential! Previous food production quality assurance or quality control experience is needed; however, this role would also suit a food science/food technology graduate who is looking to start their career within the food manufacturing industry.

You will be highly organised with good prioritisation skills, be an effective communicator plus be IT literate. A driving licence is required due to site location.

The Quality Technician job is based in Gwynedd, West Wales; however, the company would also like to hear from interested candidates who are willing to relocate to the area.

The role is paying £18,000 - £20,000 according to individual skills and previous experience and the working hours are Monday to Friday, office hours.
