About the role   Scotland is the home of Diageo’s diverse range of Scotch whiskies. In Scotland, ISC Distilling is responsible for producing over 30 million cases of Diageo’s Scotch whiskies such as Johnnie Walker, J&B and Bell’s every year. As well as Scotch, ISC Distilling produces 12 million cases of white spirits including Smirnoff vodka, Tanqueray gin and Gordon’s gin and over four million cases of other spirits and ready to drink brands. With the growth trajectory for Scotch looking strong, Diageo has announced plans to invest over £1billion in Scotch whisky production over the next five years to meet growing global demand for our brands. The investment will see a major new malt distillery built expansion of existing distilleries and substantial new warehousing capacity will be developed. There are eight main warehousing sites, housing our maturing stocks of Scotch whisky, supported by a state of the art cooperage opened in 2011 and coppersmiths.  

As a Site Management Coordinator within our talented team at Blackgrange you’ll play a pivotal role in the contractor management process and will oversee and control site risk assessments and method statements. 

You’ll be the first point of contact for inductions, permit compliance and be responsible for writing low risk non permittable documentation.  

Health and safety compliance is key and you’ll be at the forefront of making sure this is monitored alongside other KPI’s and targets including reviewing, actioning and closing out governance checks. 

You'll be the key person on site for auditory compliance, liaising with the auditor and other internal or external partners

About you   

We’re looking for someone who can work well within a team as well as the ability to make effective decisions and thrive in situations where they can solve problems.  

You’ll be able to push forward your own ideas about improvements to current approaches and appraise new opportunities. You’ll have the drive to make a positive difference to manufacturing excellence and show your excellent communication skills.  

You'll be working alongside both internal and external partners in order to achieve individual and shared outcomes. 

It’d be beneficial if you had a recognised qualification in business administration and have/or be working towards a NEBOSH qualification along with your high school grades however this is not essential. 

You’ll have demonstrable knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and environmental risk principles. 

You’re going to be responsible for management reporting systems and so you’ll have proven IT skills 

Please note that due to the nature of this role candidates must be of the age that allows them to drive fleet vehicles and a full clean driving licence is necessary.
