An exciting opportunity has become available within our Packaging team for a Development Assistant.

This is a key role in the Packaging Development team working within the larger Marketing team, where you will be managing packaging development responsibilities to various customers and business targets.

If you are an experienced Administrator or Assistant who ideally has experience in managing projects, excellent IT and organisational skills within a busy Manufacturing, Food or Retail environment, then we can offer you a chance to gain exposure, training and development in a fast paced packaging and marketing position within one of the nations famous biscuits brands.

This is where you come in…

As the Development Assistant you will support Marketing with Retail own label customers on all administration aspects of the packaging  including artwork, briefing, Cost out agendas and Factory continuous improvement by offering support to the packaging development team.

You will also aid the packaging team by arranging factory trials and samples, being the key point of contact for all teams involved. Therefore you will need to have great customer service and stakeholder management skills.

You will be responsibility for administrator duties for the packaging development online specification system, take the lead on managing the portal, ensuring specifications are maintained and uploaded correctly, liaising with retailers and uploading specifications to their systems, ensuring all notes and administration is accurate and populated on time.

About you

•Previous administrative, technical or related experience within the FMCG/food manufacturing industry.

•Ideally an understanding of products, artwork, packaging materials and technologies

•Good IT Skills (Adobe experience is a benefit but can be taught)

•Good Organisation Skills

•Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

•The ability to work at pace and multi-task to achieve deadlines
