An exciting opportunity has arisen to join for an experience Factory Manager to join our Uttoxeter bakery at one of the UKs most loved brands, Fox's Biscuits; makers of the Party Ring, Chunkie Cookies, Chocolatey, Fabulously and many more.
In the early 1900s Samuel Elkes opened a confectionary shop in Uttoxeter and in 1928 a purpose built biscuit factory was opened on the current site. In 1986 the company was bought by Northern Foods and was run as Elkes Biscuits, later becoming Fox's Biscuits.
The average weekly production at Uttoxeter is 1,000 tonnes and 50,000 tonnes per annum.
Fox's Biscuits in Uttoxeter is known for the biscuit barrel and is the home of Fox's malted milk biscuits!

This is where you come in...
As Factory Manager you will lead, manage and engage you team to deliver objectives via achievable tasks. You will report directly into the General Manager and therefore play a crucial part in the sites leadership. You will set performance standards to ensure your teams are maximising productivity whilst maintaining quality and minimising costs.
Company policies, procedures and guidelines are set to ensure a safe and efficient working environment, therefore you will be responsible for supporting the team at understanding and adhering to these.
It is also important to motivate and inspire, this will assist in achieving the production plans, performance measures and overall happiness of the site.

- You must have experience of working in a food manufacturing environment
- Experience in a similar position
- Experience of managing a large number of employees
- Have strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate your team
- Possess strong commercial awareness and ideally have experience of working with the blue chip retailers
- Able to work to deadlines with great time management skill
- Excellent Business Partnering and Stakeholder skills
