As Food Technologist, you will be joining a talented team where you will effectively coordinate NPD and technical tasks to ensure the business provides a first-class service to all customers. Your work schedule will be planned with the company Director; however, you will work on your own initiative, communicating internally and with relevant customers and suppliers.
You will maintain and update recipes and nutritional information, ensure production methods are commercial for any new products, carry out daily administrative tasks for BRC and technical specifications, manage allergen and food safety controls, interpret product briefs and present concepts, plan factory trials, carry out market research and also plan and execute customer presentations.
To be considered for the Food Technologist job, you will ideally be educated to a degree level in a food science/technology discipline and possess a strong NPD/technical track record within the food manufacturing industry. A good knowledge of food raw materials/ingredients is also required. You will have an excellent working knowledge of technical documentation, strong communication skills both internal and external plus be knowledgeable of BRC standards.
The Food Technologist job is based in the South West region and is paying £30,000 - £40,000 according to individual skills and previous experience. The working hours are Monday to Friday, office hours.
