You will be working for a well-established business which is hugely passionate about producing only natural, high quality products without any additives or chemicals. The company has been very successful and now supplies their range into the UK retailers.
The role of the Raw Materials Technologist is to support the Head of Technical in ensuring site technical documents and records are up to date.
You will support the site with BRC accreditation by ensuring all documentation is kept up to date, keep the RWM specification summary and related documentation up to date, manage raw material testing and QA goods in, support the supplier approval process, liaise with suppliers to ensure all technical information regarding raw materials and packaging is received, complete finished product specifications, complete external supplier audit questionnaires, liaise with NPD regarding sample requests and development projects, plus provide technical support to the NPD team including deputising for the NPD Technologist where necessary.
You will ideally be educated to a degree level in a food science, food technology or nutrition discipline and possess good technical experience from within food manufacturing. You will have a good knowledge of basic HACCP principles and experience of working within product development would be beneficial. A driving licence is ideal due to rural site location.
The Raw Materials Technologist role is based in the South West region and is paying up to £25,000 according to individual skills and previous experience. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 4.30pm, however some flexibility will be required.
