The Company

Our client is a nationally recognised food manufacturer supplying award winning products to its retailer customer base. This fast paced company are now looking for an experienced National Account Manager to join their Commercial Team on an interim basis.

The Role

In this high profile commercial role you’ll report directly to the Sales Controller, you’ll be part of a key project team that identifies opportunities for the business and client. Additional accountabilities will include managing cross functional teams including Supply Chain, Technical and NPD, ensuring projects meet customer demand whilst guaranteeing company profitability targets are delivered. Using your creative insight and problem solving skills you’ll also collaborate with Marketing and NPD teams to develop amazing ranges that are innovative yet commercially viable. With your strategic awareness and commercial vision you’ll also build on your market knowledge to ensure the company retains their position as a leader within their category.

The Candidate

We’re looking for an established Business or National Account Manager with effective communication and project management skills coupled with the ability to influence others to stay ahead in this fast moving market. Previous experience with a food or FMCG company is essential where you have worked with the UK retailers and developed a thorough understanding of their systems and processes.

You’ll also have an unwavering grasp on category management principles as well as excellent strategic planning skills in order to develop and nurture effective business relations and achieve fantastic results. In addition you’ll be an expert negotiator who is driven to succeed as part of a cross functional team but also able to work under their own initiative.
