Process Development Technologist (Maternity Contract)

The company

The company is part of a quality chilled foods group supplying to a number of the major retailers. They manufacture a wide range of chilled foods from well-invested sites, giving their staff the facilities and environment to produce food to the highest quality, and food safety standards.

The job

As Process Development Technologist, the purpose of your role is to successfully manage the delivery of products from kitchen approved recipe to launch via defined timelines and adherence to customer guidelines and quality expectations.

You will manage the NPD handover stage, liaise with new and existing raw material suppliers, manage the timely processing of microbiological, nutritional samples and any other critical food safety requirements, ensure all new material and packaging samples are ordered for trials, manage pre- and post- trial meetings, participate in the organisation of customer visits to site and work in close liaison with operations to improve existing processes and trial activities.

Your experience

The role would suit someone with good food industry process development/NPD concept to launch experience looking for their next challenge which involves a diverse and often complex range of technologies. A background of working with chilled of frozen food products is essential. You will preferably be a holder of a food technology qualification or equivalent, have excellent time management and organisational skills plus possess a positive approach to team working with enthusiasm for food and champion of quality.

The Process Development Technologist job is based in the East Midlands region and is paying £33,000. The working hours are Monday to Friday, office hours.

This is a maternity cover contract with a duration of 12-15 months.
