Job Details

CI Manager,  Monday to Friday days only. Office hours 9 to 5 with some flexibility.

to 35k per annum plus benefits. This role is based just North of Boston.

Food manufacturing environment.

Job Purpose:  Provide leadership and drive for continuous improvement projects and activities across the business ensuring PIPs are delivering against agreed objectives.

Must Haves:

Knowledge of food industry 

Knowledge of manufacturing processes

Ability to build credible & successful working relationships at all levels within the organisation

Good organisation & time management skills

Commercial awareness

Lean manufacturing experience

Change management experience

Role Accountabilities::


Own & improve the PIP plan, working cross functionally to ensure all departments contribute and assist with improvements in their own areas


Ensure PIPs link to the business strategy, department strategies and Group strategies to ensure improvements continually add value


Working in conjunction with the manufacturing team ensure operational efficiencies are maximised & practices are fit for purpose


Review working practices with customers, suppliers & between departments in order to identify new ways of working which can add value or reduce costs


Ensure mechanisms are in place to drive employee involvement within continuous improvement projects (i.e. Packaging forum, B.I.G. Ideas etc) and continually review their effectiveness and explore new options which link to & support the site culture plan


Where possible quantify savings/ profit improvements and measure achievement of these improvements against targets


Ensure effective communication with the business in order to celebrate success and/or promote further engagement with improvement projects
