This is a truly fantastic opportunity to join an entrepreneurial innovative food brand who supply premium products to the convenience and retail sectors. At a time of exciting growth, they are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Junior Business Development Executive to join the team.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Sales this is a rare and exciting opportunity to become a pivotal member of a vibrant company. You'll play an essential role in the development of a robust sales network, forming and nurturing strong relationships whilst actively seeking new opportunities to grow the business. You’ll be the first point of contact for wholesaler accounts, visiting them, working towards targets and maintaining P&L to drive sales and profitability.

In addition to identifying and driving new business opportunities you’ll develop and implement marketing plans using your knowledge of the latest food trends, contribute to brand campaigns combined with representing the company at trade fairs and key industry events. You’ll also be accountable for negotiating prices, business plans, promotions and payment terms to ensure that the best deals are secured.  

The Person

We are looking for a commercially switched-on & proactive foodie who has some previous sales experience with a growing and dynamic company in the food industry. You’ll be customer focused and have an interest in developing your commercial career, and will enjoy taking the initiative to create new opportunities as well as being able to offer outstanding levels of customer service. You’ll need to be confident at developing effective working relations and have excellent influencing and negotiation skills. You must have amazing communication and negotiation skills and will be able to deliver presentations with flair and finesse in order to influence key decision makers at all levels. Cold calling experience would be advantageous.
