Are you an experienced Project Manager in FMCG Engineering? Are you looking for a new challenge and perhaps an opportunity to be involved in high value project delivery of the value of 10m?
We are working with an extremely successful FMCG business who has grown at a rate of knots over the last 10 years, The company hold some brilliant exclusive contacts with major retailers and due to further wins we have an opportunity for a Project Manager to join to facilitate the next steps in developing engineering and production capacity.
The role will manage Projects varying from £100k - £10m and approx 10 projects at a time so a fair few things to balance,
You'd achieve success by being the organiser and facilitator, being able to use a metric style system to assign people to achieve project delivery as required.
Being a core part of the team at all levels is required, you'll be on the shop floor in one instance and presenting to the board in another.
Typical Projects examples:-
- Packaging System, Tray Sealing
- Site Services - HVAC / Refrigeration
- Factory Build (Maybe not so typical, but this will be on the cards)
the responsibility will hold all business case and commercial decision making in your selections to move forward, so you'll need to know what, how, why and overall be able to measure the success of all deliver.
So overall you will manage from cradle to grave, CAD, Line Layouts, Machinery Suppliers, Contractors, , CAPEX, Audits etc.
This is an exciting and all encompassing Project Manager role with progression opportunities to follow.
The Right Candidate:-
You'll demonstrate a successful track record in delivering engineering based projects in production/manufacturing environments.
FMCG experience is preferred but by no means essential.
A strong engineering pedigree is required, Mechanical, Electrical, Site Services, M&E, Some HVAC would be helplful - This could be demonstrated in qualification or time-served experience.
A recognised Project Management Qualification is preferred - APM or Price2 for e.g
A strong business head - you'll need to be able to crunch the numbers and communicate the reasoning for projects and what the benefits and consequences could be.
