QA Technician (Contract)

Reporting to the Quality Manager, the purpose of this role is to support the Operations team and to ensure that the manufacturing processes and site standards meet the company’s stringent food safety, quality and legal requirements.
You will complete scheduled audits. Review and analyse x-ray and metal detection rejects, maintain, audit and archive food safety, legality, quality and processing documentation, support quality systems audits to ensure compliance to both external third party and internal first party requirements, assess finished product quality, support the reduction of customer complaints plus monitor and promote the development of a food safety culture.
You should ideally be of graduate / HND calibre in a food related discipline and have some quality assurance experience within a food manufacturing environment. You will have a good knowledge of quality assurance principles, GMP and internal auditing plus an awareness of HACCP. You will possess excellent communication skills, be a problem-solver and have high attention to detail.
The QA Technician job is based in the Home Counties / East Midlands region and is paying a competitive salary according to individual skills and previous experience.
This is a contract position with a duration of up to 3 months. The working hours are Tuesday to Thursday, 6am – 6pm, plus some additional Fridays as required.
