Job Details

Our client, a rapidly growing supplier of Ready Meals and Chilled High Care foods for Major retailers and Airlines is looking to appoint a Technical Manager at their Site in Lancashire.

Reporting to the Operations Director responsibilities for the role will include:

 

 

  • Leading and managing all aspects of quality assurance within the company so that the best possible procedures are in place to allow top quality, safe and legal products to be produced at all times
  • Managing customer complaints ensuring preventative measures are put in place
  • Managing all aspects of hygiene and cleaning within the company
  • Being a proactive and constructive member of the Management Team,  contributing to the generation of new ideas for performance improvement
  • Acting upon legislation and guidelines to ensure that manufacturing is conducted legally
  • Ensuring customer Codes of Practice are implemented and continuously monitored
  • Preparing and leading detailed plans for customer and third party audits e.g. EHO, Food Trading Standards and BRC, etc.
  • Continually developing, maintaining and reviewing the Company Quality Management System and HACCP
  • Ensuring compliance with customers’ policies and standards and the BRC Global Standard for food safety

 

 

Skills / Experience include:

  • Previous Experience in a Technical Role within a Ready Meal / Chilled High Care Food Manufacturer
  • Major retailer experience
  • An excellent understanding of BRC
  • Strong Communicator
  • Ability to work closely with NPD
  • Experience in Product Labelling, Ingredients and Specifications completion
