Our client is a forward thinking food business supplying major manufacturing customers with innovative premium branded products. They are now looking for a proactive and motivated individual to support their busy Technical team and help continue their success in the market place.
In this dynamic, hands-on role you’ll report to the Technical Manager and be responsible for:
· Compiling, reviewing and updating product specifications in line with food safety and quality requirements in an accurate and timely manner.
· Providing technical support across the department, acting as a first point of contact for suppliers and customers on technical requirements.
· Keeping up with the latest food legislation as well as customer and company standards, communicating any changes and driving continuous improvements.
· Assisting with the benchmarking and analysis of new products, ensuring technical compliance to specifications as well as nutritional and shelf life requirements.
Suit a Food Science or Technology graduate who has technical experience gained from working in a similar role in the food manufacturing industry, ideally within the retail sector. Essentially you’ll have a working knowledge of specification systems and a good understanding of the technical processes of product development from concept to launch. Strong methodical and problem solving skills along with close attention to detail are advantageous. You must be able to demonstrate excellent communication, organisation and project management skills in order to achieve success in this fast-paced role.
