The Strategic Pricing Manager will be responsible for the development, implementation and execution of the strategic pricing process. The position holder will have accountability of setting the prices for all product lines in the business and also will be responsible for the strategic development and business optimisation of the long term contracts portfolio in the different product lines.


Main Tasks:

  • Setting pricing targets to maximise profitability, utilising a range of information (strategy, market positions, cost, competitor landscape) to understand anticipate market changes

  • Support the different product lines in CPE through strategic pricing models

  • Support the sales team in development regional account plans, preparing and executing deal management

  • Maintain pricing subject matter expertise keeping informed of developments and best practices

  • Optimise margin structure in long term contract models on behalf of CPE’s Commercial Managers

  • Look for continuous improvement in pricing strategy processes, systems and tools

  • Provide clear guidance, support and leadership  in the execution of different pricing processes in achieving the different product lines commercial objectives

  • Mentor and coach the pricing function organisation and indirectly the commercial teams

  • Partner with other functions in the business to ensure long term sustainable value creation.


  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject (economics, business, finance) with preference for a focus in statistics and analytics

  • An MBA would be advantageous

  • Proven experience of pricing processes 

  • A keen sense of prioritisation and can advocate initiatives to improve the bottom line of a business

  • Proven project and change management experience, able to lead and influence people from different functions

  • A strong analytical mindset to derive meaningful insight from large and complex sets of business pricing data

  • Experience with Power BI/  Tableau essential 

  • Tenacity to execute under pressure

  • Understanding and practical experience of risk management tools in a business

  • Management of cost-based long term contracts

  • Understanding of the drivers behind P&L and margin/ price decision making

  • Excellent communication skills, verbally and written in fluent English,  fluency in another European language is advantageous.
