Great opportunity for a STEM subject Graduate to launch a career with a top tier multi-site food manufacturer.

This is a great opportunity for you to kick start your career with a major food manufacturer which supplies the supermarkets in the UK. Chances are that you already eat their products on a regular basis, be that a sandwich or wrap for your lunch or a prepared curry, lasagne or soup for your dinner. With sites across the country you would be joining an organisation that can develop your skills and offer a flexible career path.

Your job within the business will be to use your analytical and problem solving skills to improve manufacturing processes, product quality and labour utilisation. Based in a food factory with time split between the factory floor and the office you will be working closely with teams in Production, Engineering and Development. Supported by the Business Improvement Manager you will help them to understand where improvements can be made by analysing data and implementing lean manufacturing techniques.

Areas of responsibility:

  • Deliver Continuous Improvement projects
  • Work with new product development (NPD) to ensure cost effective manufacturing
  • Provide support to team members on lean manufacturing techniques

If you have a strong numerical ability, are a natural problem solver and enjoy working with data this is going to be an excellent opportunity for you. You must be comfortable working in a hands-on factory environment so previous experience from a year in industry would be a great base for you to start from.

For the right person with the drive to succeed the company can offer an excellent starting salary. The role is a Monday to Friday position with regular office hours and the site is close to the tube.
