Are you an experienced professional with a background in the food sector? Do you have a proven track record of commercial dealings with the food retailers? Are you commercially focused but, well rounded in operations, supply chain, technical and business management? If so, we want to hear from you.

About Our Client:
Our client is a processor and packer of frozen food products to a variety of the retailers across the UK. They supply a variety of products including value added in the branded and retailer own label market. This business unit is part of a wider group which is focused in the food and food related industries. The group backing offers great potential for this business unit to grow exponentially in the future. Our client has a great reputation for quality and service, delivering value for money and innovative products to its customers.

About the Job:
In short, your remit will be to ensure the continued growth of this business unit. You will utilise your commercial experience to drive results and increased sales through the retailers by providing excellent products for the consumer at competitive prices. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver commercial results. You will utilise your experience and knowledge in supplying the retailers to oversee the various departments within the business unit, such as technical, operations and supply chain etc.

The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will be a proven commercial controller / director with experience being or real potential to be a general manager / site director. Ideally, your experience will be well rounded BUT MUST be COMMERCIALLY FOCUSED. You will be a proven people influencer and hold solid people management experience. Due to the amount of relationships you will need to manage, you will need to have real gravitas.

Minimum Requirements:
To be considered for this role, as an absolute minimum, you MUST have experience in managing commercial relationships with the retailers within the food industry. You will need to possess a brilliant track record of delivering commercial results and account growth. You will need to possess experience with a variety of retail accounts. People management skills and experience in managing a team is a must. At the very least you will need to possess a thorough understanding of the food supply chain, ideally with manufacturing/processing/packing experience and operational awareness.

Salary & Package:
Depending on experience and appropriate to a leader of a ~£20-30m+ t/o business unit.
