A great opportunity has arisen for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with an Electrical bias, to join a well established food manufacturer based in the East of England looking to grow and further strengthen their engineering function. The business is going through a period of transition so this represents an excellent opportunity to make a name for yourself and progress your career within an industry giant.
The successful candidate will be an existing Multi Skilled Engineer / Electrical Engineer / Maintenance Engineer who has developed a strong technical knowledge in both mechanical and electrical engineering and will be competent in working with PLCs to a fault-finding level. Ideally, you will be 17th Edition qualified.
Coming from within a fast paced and challenging food manufacturing / FMCG / Automotive / Pharmaceutical / Bottling /Packing environment you will be able to establish good working relationships with your peers and will have experience of working within a lean manufacturing culture with exposure to the likes of TPM, PPM, SMED etc
With full autonomy and responsibility for carrying out planned maintenance of plant equipment you will need to be able to quickly react to any breakdowns to ensure the continuity of production.
You will be working alongside a team of like-minded engineers who will also share the business's focus for continuous improvement and working pro-actively to ensure that downtime is kept to a minimum.
