Our client is a food manufacturer who value NPD as business critical and have a reputation for producing high quality products. An opportunity has arisen for an NPD Manager to join their team in a role that will be key in driving creative development. 

The role:
  • You will work with major retail customers on diverse projects often working to challenging briefs and deadlines.
  • You’ll work closely with retail customers, responsible for driving the NPD strategy from concept through to launch through your team delivering truly innovative development solutions.
  • Through your team you will be able to deliver exception solutions to customer briefs but crucially be proactive in delivering new concepts and raising the profile of NPD internally and externally.
  • Liaise with technical department to ensure all technical information is generated in line with current legislative requirements.
  • Manage the re-development of existing products to ensure process and cost optimisation.
  • You’ll will lead a small team of technologist and be responsible for their personal development and success.
Your experience: 
  • You will be either a graduate in a food science or related discipline or a development chef who has already gained food industry experience.
  • You should have experience within the food industry in an NPD role working from concept through to launch and have excellent process development skills.
  • You must be able to build cost and quality into every product brief and manage multiple launches at any one time.
  • You will thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • You will should be ambitious, motivated and team orientated but most importantly truly innovative.
