Production & Logistics Manager

We are seeking a talented Production & Logistics Manager to work for a leading supplier for major food, drink and pharmaceutical companies. The company develop customised formulations for a wide variety of applications from ethically sourced raw materials to the controlled transformation into high quality functional ingredients.
Your role as Production & Logistics Manager is to own and drive delivery of operational KPIs through effective people engagement and to effectively manage all aspects of the production area to ensure optimum operational performance.
This is a hands-on role where leading from the front is vital – you will manage and motivate 2 Team Leaders and 25 Operatives. You will also ensure the company meets health, safety, environmental and quality obligations both in compliance with legislation and to company standards. The company use a third-party logistics company, so you will oversee them ensuring the highest standards of operations.
We are seeking a committed and positive individual with previous production management experience within the food manufacturing industry. Your man-management and people skills should be top notch and ideally you will have experience of working with third-party logistics. You will be commercially aware, have a strong commitment towards people, quality and profit plus be performance and results driven.
The Production & Logistics Manager job is based in the Home Counties / London region and is paying up to up to £40,000 according to individual skills and previous experience. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 7.30am – 5.30pm with some flexibility required.
