My Client is a well-established Chilled Food Manufacturer who supplies to all of the major retailers and are based in the beautiful county of Dorset. They are now seeking an experienced Technical Manager who will be responsible for defining the Technical Strategy at the site and managing a Quality Manager and Hygiene Manager at the site. This role will be the Quality and Food Safety champion for the site, and will ensure that relationships are developed with suppliers, retailers and internally, and will be integral in developing the Food Safety and Quality systems ensuring they are compliant with retailer codes of practice and relevant 3rd party standards
The role of the Technical Manager will involve:
Working with all departments on product and process improvement,
Managing specific process technology projects,
Solving day to day process problems and delivering solutions for continuous business improvement.
Technical Manager Essential Knowledge / Skills:
Relevant Technical Management experience within the food industry.
Experience working with Retailers
Extensive practical experience of BRC accreditation, HACCP implementation, facilitation of customer audits and quality system management.
Degree qualification in food science or equivalent
Excellent people management & communication skills.
A recognised Food hygiene qualification.
