About the role...
Bill of Materials
Allocate stock and amend B.O.M’S so you can book in the product/blend they are mixing.
This also involves creating the batch numbers so the warehouse can print the batch labels for the products.
Record what’s being mixed on a spreadsheet, so we have a record of the batch number and when it’s been made.
Book in to stock the purchase orders and check that the quantities, best before dates, batches and references are correct.
Check the picking sheets are correct by checking the quantity, batch, best before date and products have been correctly picked by the warehouse staff.
Total up the weights of the products from the order and compare the results with the weight ticket from the warehouse, to see if they are the same.
If there are any discrepancies, then see the warehouse manager or the operative who picked the order to correct the mistake and recheck the order.
Batch Numbers for Container
Purchasing advise when you need to create batch labels for a container.
Create batch labels on Excel and email to the supplier.
Covering for another member of staff
When the transport manager is on holiday you will need to cover his job role and book the transport for that day.
Arrange to collect customer returns or products from suppliers.
Chase outstanding purchase orders with the supplier.
All the jobs above are done daily apart from batch numbers for containers, which is usually done around once a week on average.
