Some travel to the office in Nottingham also required.

We are looking to recruit a Field-Based Sales Account Manager to cover the south region. This role is one of creating further growth of a successful confectionery company with head office based in the East Midlands. A company that creates innovative gifts for the confectionery market and looking to be part of creating a strong reliable and exciting brand. As a company we are ambitious, have a reliable office team to support our sales team, and look to offer ongoing training within the field.

You will most likely be based from home, with significant travel involved to cover your territory. You could also use head office (Nottingham) as a base to travel from if that is preferable.

We are looking for talent & commitment above all else and so are open to varying levels of experience, with the role and remuneration packaged to suit. Full training, guidance and support will be provided.

Role

  • Promoting full range of company's products & services within mainstream retail, online retailers and to develop corporate sales.
  • Managing designated geographical area to maximise revenue.
  • Pro-actively seek out and close new leads and meetings within your allocated area with new customers and account managing existing customers.
  • Maximise new business development opportunities and keep customers up to date in relation to the company’s products.
  • Analysis and monitoring of customer spending patterns and behaviours, identifying opportunities for increasing frequency and value of spend
  • Co-ordinating all client meeting requests preparing collateral, product and presentations as required
  • Building and seeking out new opportunities within the corporate market through direct approach, PR companies, event planning companies etc.
  • Looking to build a presence in new market areas ie. Hotels, wedding market etc

Experience required

  • Sales experience, ideally selling food products (preferably confectionery/chocolate products)
  • Track record of generating leads and hitting or exceeding sales targets
  • Proven ability to build strong customer relationships
  • A proven track record of developing new business and growing existing accounts.
  • A commitment to your role and drive to succeed and overreach your targets
  • Self-motivation and desire to succeed
  • Good organisation and time management skills
