Chief Operating Officer
This newly purchased branded FMCG supplier in London will soon be looking to recruit a COO, tasked with the day-to-day administration and operation of the business. The COO would essentially be the number 2 on site and report into the MD.
The company currently has a turnover in the region of £7m and around 20 staff. Food products are not manufactured on site, but imported from elsewhere and supplied to a wide variety of customers, mostly in the UK but also some abroad. All products are high in quality and aimed at the high end of the market - including organic customers.
The COO’s focus is executing the company’s business plans according to its business model. The COO determines the specifics needed to carry out the MD's general plan and will be responsible for daily, quarterly or other periodic measured results. The COO will also be involved with strategic planning for the future and may will initiatives to expand the organization's product lines or markets.
The COO will be tasked with overseeing the company's day-to-day operations, daily communication with the MD, creating operations strategies and policies, communicating operational strategies to employees, building employee alignment with company goals (and vice versa), and overseeing human resource development.
We are looking for someone who is used to acting as number 2 to a sales-focused MD, ideally within a similar sized business. Someone that has experience in the food industry and is capable of implementing the MD's vision, playing a crucial role toward the anticipated growth to c. £12m in the next couple of years.

Indicative Salary Range: £70000 - 80000
