You will be working for an independent and reputable manufacturer of premium, quality products. The key focus of the business is to consistently meet customer needs with market leading products together with excellent service at competitive prices.
As Commercial Sales Manager, your key role is to firstly take responsibility for current customers, evaluate their strengths and opportunities for development and secondly, using your knowledge and initiative, identify opportunities for development and growth of the business within the catering & food service market sector in UK and later Europe where opportunities may arise.
You will speedily incorporate a full and solid understanding of company products, customers, pricing and business operational costs and using this knowledge, seek new complimentary customers.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be directly involved in the long-term direction of the business determining its level of future involvement in wholesale, distribution and independent suppliers.
You will be a positive, confident, experienced salesperson with a strong account handling track record within the foodservice or bakery market with considerable knowledge of and good contacts within the restaurant, casual dining, or food distribution sectors. A positive approach to financial awareness with a strong level of numeracy is essential as margins, gross profitability and break-even analysis will be part of the KPI targets set. A full UK valid driving licence is also essential.
The Commercial Sales Manager job is a home-based role covering the London / South East region with 1-2 days per week in the office. The role is paying a £40,000 - £55,000 plus business performance related bonus. The remuneration package also has a view to increase as you develop both new and existing business.
