Job Title: Ripening Coordinator
Location: Lincolnshire
Salary: circa £25,000pa

We are supporting a successful and growing produce business that supplies to multiple retailers in the search for a ripening coordinator to join their operations team. This role is key to ensure the correct availability for production and packing, through detailed planning and distributing of stock for ripening using forecasted figures. The right character is just as important as experience with this position, having the ability to communicate at all levels effectively and managing workloads is key.

Responsibilities:
- To ensure the timely scheduling of raw material in line with production planning and customer order requirements, using the MRP system.
- To review data, including sales trends and material on time delivery, within the production zone to identify significant variances. To communicate and report on these variances to relevant departments.
- To interact with production planners and commercial teams to understand demand forecast drivers.
- To provide input in stock holding, age of stock, new product introduction and phase outs.
- To report relevant information within the production meeting environment, sharing information
- To develop working relationships with procurement, commercial, quality and operations team, which will lead to effective knowledge sharing, optimise product yield and reduce levels of waste.
- To use recognised systems and methods to continually improve production forecast accuracy to maximise product yield and reduce all levels of waste, allowing WFL to meet and exceed customer expectations.
- To pay attention to detail in the area of raw material planning, stock replenishment and providing timely feedback to the relevant departments on risks regarding replenishment levels and quality is essential.
- To look to identify areas of improvement, opportunity and innovation and communicate these to the relevant personnel

Experience:
-You will have experience within the fresh produce/chilled food/horticulture sector
-Advanced skills planning systems and excel
-Experience with ripening processes desirable.
-Strong communicator
-Ability to prioritise workloads
