Group SHE Manager, East Midlands
Would you like to try the H&SE equivalent of a Rubix cube? If so, read on....
There are significant complexities in this role. That's not a bad thing, in fact it should offer you great variety, but it is likely to test you.
So, what has this job got to do with a Rubix cube? Well as a crude visual representation:
Red squares: Full Supply Chain responsibility from manufacturing to retail to logistics
White Squares: RDC/Multiple transport risk areas
Yellow Squares: Over 3,000 staff
Blue squares: High risk equipment
Orange Squares: Multiple locations
Green Squares: Further details I can disclose on discussion
So, the Rubix cube comparison is one whereby it is a challenge to get all the parts to match. However, you won't be alone on this, you will report directly into the COO giving H&S a highly visible platform to the entire business. You will also have a large H&S team based at site level that you will be working closely with.
Rubix cubes are sometimes difficult and not always for everyone. But complete it and you know the round of the applause in the room is for you.
You will have multi-site SHE experience from a food / manufacturing / logistics environment. Don't worry you don't need to have 57 letters of certifications after your name (however, NEBOSH Diploma and CMIOSH are important) the key to this is your people engagement skills at all levels.
Apply to this role today (please note you will not be asked to complete a Rubix cube as part of the interview process).
