Research: NOUN - The systematic investigation into and study of materials and sources in order to establish facts and reach new conclusions.
The above definition won't come as any surprise to you. But how do you make sense of data in a complex, fast and ever-changing world? Additionally, how would you make recommendations for a pioneering business that will be the first to make these recommendations?
If in your head at some point the idea of managing Big data through a team of Research Managers and a broader network might achieve this, please read on.
I mention just an idea rather than plan because currently, there is no plan. This is a newly created role for someone to come in and develop their own program. For some, that will sound like a minefield - for you that will sound exciting.
As with all things in life, you will face barriers in this role. However, this business, more than any other I know, will help remove those barriers. They have a unique culture (think corporate blue chip meets best mates having a coffee) with genuinely some of the best minds in the FMCG research sphere. Additionally you will have access to a huge network, both in the people sense and data sense. This all adds up to you looking forward to going to work to spend time with like-minded people with which you will make a name for yourself creating genuine breakthrough pieces of work.

1) Senior Data/research experience (Science/ FMCG preferred)
2) Managed Managers
