If so, we’d love to hear from you as our client based on the Somerset / Devon border is recruiting a Planning Manager. This is with one of our favourite clients and we have placed some fab people in this business so you really be joining a great business who pride themselves on developing their people and providing consistently good food to the major retailers.

The role of Planning Manager:

  • Reporting into the Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for the planning of an incredibly complex factory, managing a team of planners.

  • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials through to finish goods.

  • Identify delays and adjust planning to ensure service level isn’t affected.

  • Work across departments including Commercial, Operations and NPD to monitor new launches, delists as well as promotions.

  • Be part of a team who work on cost saving initiatives.

 

The experience and knowledge of the Planning Manager:

  • A strong background in Food or Drink Planning, preferably chilled.

  • Previous experience of dealing with the major supermarkets in the UK.

  • A proven track record of demand planning as well as stock management & inventory.

  • Excellent communication skills both internally and externally.

  • Great tenacity and the ability to adapt is essential.
