Our client specialises in fresh produce. They pride themselves on providing a fantastic level of customer service and the ideal candidate will pride themselves on this too. Their customers have the freedom to choose from a flexible menu of direct and in directs services.
About the role
You will have a sound understanding of the service provisions marketplace in order to develop sales growth with existing customers as well as drive new business and service products. When new customers are secured, you will manage the process of on-boarding and coordinating the relevant stake holders which will require you to have excellent organisation skills. You'll be required to develop a good knowledge of operational cost to ensure that external rates are competitively priced, whilst continuing to generate a profit margin.
It will be your responsibility to provide an accurate forecast of volume and activity to support commercial planning in the operational areas. You'll be involved in the annual budget process too.
To be considered for this role, as a minimum you must have a strong sales or customer service background preferably with in fresh produce or FMCG industry, be an excellent communicator with the ability to engage with customers and maintain important relationships. You must be able to carry out detailed analysis and present recommendations to internal stake holders. You must be proficient in all MS office packages, particularly MS Excel PowerPoint. A level qualified or equivalent.
