The business manufactures and distributes a wide range of products which are tailor made and formulated to suit each market sector. They have dedicated sales and technical teams in order to adapt to the needs of the customers and offer a comprehensive support network.
As Hygiene Manager, the primary purpose of your role is to ensure that systems and procedures are put in place to guarantee a hygienic and food safe production environment. You will lead and train a team of dedicated cleaners and production operatives to meet this objective and ensure all documentation is in place to demonstrate compliance.
You will create cleaning instruction cards for all cleaning activities, be involved in the site environmental swabbing programme, ensure adequate resource is in place to meet schedules, be involved in the purchasing of new plant/equipment to ensure that it is hygienically designed and work with engineering and operations to ensure that the CIP system is fit for purpose.
We are looking for a proven Hygiene Manager with a strong food production track record (preferably 5 years+) ideally in a factory with heat processing and CIP (Clean in Place), although not necessarily high risk. Level 3 Food Safety and HACCP are both desirable as is COSHH training. You will also be a confident decision maker, have excellent team building skills and show a passion for quality standards and continuous improvement.
The Hygiene Manager role is based in the South Central / Home Counties region and is paying £35,000 - £38,000 according to individual skills and previous experience. The working hours are Monday to Friday, days.
