The job

You will manage the day-to-day operations for the company within a designated geographical location with the objectives of customer development, new business development, and tangible sales and margin growth. You’ll Identify and implement activity to optimise sales and profit for the UK business through execution of sales strategies and tactics. As a member of the sales team you will contribute to overall budget process by creating sales and margin targets and input to marketing development plans. In addition, you will develop, present and deliver opportunities and range review activities for customers in conjunction with the marketing team - this will include existing ‘off the shelf’ and new product development lines where your interface is critical to ensuring other areas of the business can achieve the goals for your accounts.

Your experience

You will have a firm understanding of food ingredients and be able to both share and communicate this with internal departments. You’ll possess the drive and knowledge to deliver expert day-to-day account management while at the same time identifying opportunities for improvements whilst managing a varied portfolio of products.  You should have a strong background in professional account management at operational level with a varied account base and also managing the execution of multi-discipline projects. Whilst a degree is ideal, you should have a solid level of education with special reference to the food industry.

The Account and New Business Development Manager job is a homebased role and is paying £42,000 - £47,000 + car and bonus. The working hours are Monday to Friday.
