Hovis Limited is a vertically integrated baking and flour milling business currently operated by The Gores Group as part of a stand-alone joint venture. The Company was created in April 2014 to help release new investment to upgrade its operational infrastructure and reinvigorate the Hovis brand, building on its rich heritage. Nish Kankiwala our  CEO brings a wealth of commercial and marketing experience from previous roles with Unilever, Pepsico and Burger King. He has been an integral part of the business for the past 2 years and has recently taken over as CEO. 

Hovis currently have an exciting opportunity at our site in Glasgow for a Controls Engineer.


The Purpose of the role is to be the Site Electrical Duty Holder and provide expert electrical assistance in the Fault Diagnosis and breakdown repairs, continually upgrade and maintain site electrical systems and documentation.

Base skill requirements are:

  • Experience of working within Projects and Maintenance 
  • Experience of working within a Production environment – preferably FMCG.
  • Project Management of major capital projects
  • Multiple project management

Experience required:

  • Experience of working within Projects and Maintenance – (3 years)
  • Experience of working within a Production environment – preferably FMCG (3 years)
  • Project Management of major capital projects
  • Multiple project management
  • Experience of leading change management projects
  • Competent in training and application of continuous improvement tools and techniques
  • An effective problem solver and problem solving coach with proven record of success within change management programmes
