Senior Product Developer, West Sussex / Hampshire
What does your next NPD role need to offer? Autonomy? Category in growth? Well invested business? Long-term stability? Focus on innovation?
This Senior Product Developer position ticks all the boxes above and many more.
At a time when many food businesses are cutting back NPD teams and focusing on reducing costs, it's a real pleasure to be recruiting for a growing company that is winning work and investing in its people, equipment and facilities. This business is certainly `strong and stable' and has exciting growth plans that will see them triple turnover. They have successfully diversified their product ranges, gained new customers and further developed long-term strategic relationships with leading UK retailers.
Key to the growth plans is getting the right people in place. We are looking for a Senior Product Developer to strengthen the team as business grows. You will be managing a major retail account; successfully overseeing all development projects, managing a Product Developer and being supported by Category, Process and Development Chef teams. You will be the lead at customer meetings, showcasing new concepts, ensuring all project deadlines are met and driving your categories forward. With a real passion for food, expertise in product development and great people skills you'll ensure customers see you as a credible, strategic supply partner.
This role is based at a brand new site which I was really impressed by - bright and spacious with loads of attention to the little details that make somewhere a lovely place to work. They have a fantastic Learning & Development program offering a great range of internal training options plus support for external courses too. Whilst you would be predominantly site-based, the role would involve travel to customers and suppliers and the opportunity for some flexible working too. There is a real focus on nurturing an open and transparent culture where everyone can contribute and decisions are made quickly. You'll be given lots of autonomy whilst always being supported by the wider team and an inspirational manager who has a great reputation in the industry. It's certainly a varied and fast-paced role so would really suit an individual who thrives on being busy and gets a buzz from getting their amazing new products first onto the supermarket shelves.
If this sounds of interest and you can demonstrate a strong track record in product development for UK retail customers, please get in touch today...
