Our client is a leading global biotechnology company whose mission is to improve the health and performance of people, animals and plants through natural nutrition and scientific innovation.
About the Role:
In this role as Laboratory Coordinator you will be responsible for scheduling and testing products to ensure they meet their given product specification. You will conduct Health and Safety risk assessments on all activities and processes conducted within the laboratory and ensure all analysis is conducted according to Good laboratory practices (GLP). You will be responsible for ensuring laboratory stocks are maintained and all laboratory equipment is calibrated. You will be a member of the site HACCP team and ensure analytical non-conformances are evaluated according to HACCP requirements.
The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have a scientific qualification, have experience of working in an animal feed / food production environment. Experience in analytical techniques and instruments, ICP-OES, HPLC, UV spectroscopy. Experience essential in Microbiological enumeration methods. Proven experience or certified training related to HACCP.
To be considered for this role as a minimum you must have a thorough understanding of quality standards and previous experience of working in a laboratory.
You must be a self-starter, and be able to work on your own.
Depending on experience but as a guide circa £27-30k
