Title: Engineering Administrator - Part time    

Location: Highbridge - Somerset

Contract Type: Permanent - Part Time    

This is a part time role Monday – Friday 5 hours a day - 25 hours a week

Bakkavor Desserts Highbridge specialise in cheesecakes and tarts working closely with our sister site in Newark that specialise in Cream Cakes such as Choux and Eclairs and Trifles.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual interested in engineering to provide administration support to the engineering team by ensuring accurate maintenance of relevant documents & systems in order to drive performance, growth & continuous improvement.

The Ideal Candidate will have

  • High level of competence with IT programmes in particular MS Excel , Word & PowerPoint
  • Previous experience with or ability to become competent with maintenance scheduling systems
  • Good organisation skills
  • Good communication skills & ability to build cross functional relationships


Down loading of data from Agility and other Business based systems as required to deliver analytical information    

Assist with the administration of calibration and testing & documentation of machinery specifications to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and business standards In conjunction with other departments produce documentation (new equipment forms) for the introduction of new equipment

Assist the Engineering Manager & Engineering Shift Manager with administrative  support

Carry out departmental internal audits and support the preparation for Bakkavor and external site audits Support the Engineering Manager with delivery of documentation to support the growth and development of the dept

To write reports and provide statistical information as required by the business.

Analyse the information and flag up trends, issues etc. and make recommendations on what action to take.

Assist with the completion of permits to work ensuring all requirements are adhered to

And ensure that the relevant documentation is on site (RA & Method Statements)

Provide cover as and when required for Engineering Store person and assist with stock counts and working with the accounts dept to close out issues.
