About The Role:

As the Supply Chain Manager you will hold a great amount of autonomy and responsibility to improve the efficiency of the business. You will utilise your strong skills in demand forecasting, warehouse and logistical planning and operational knowledge to improve the short term performance of the operation as well as looking at the medium term strategic direction and plan for the business to create longer term solutions and improvements. You will be comfortable in a customer facing role dealing with the day-to-day relationship with key retailers and other customers. Experience in managing a relationship with 3PL providers is a must to be successful in this role. As this role has direct reports, you will have experience in a management / leadership role working with a variety of personalities and working styles. Ultimately this role is about reducing the cost per unit of the serviced provided by our client.

The Ideal Candidate:

You will be dynamic, with a can-do attitude and be happy to get involved in a number of areas of the business. Whilst you will be comfortable managing others and looking at a longer term strategy you will still be able to deliver on the day-to-day tasks and get hands on. You will have a proven track record of cutting costs in operations and supply chain, driving efficiencies, WITHOUT sacrificing on service levels. Experience leading / managing a team or having a few direct reports across different functions is highly desirable. This business has an operational focus and you must therefore, have a strong operational understanding. As an example, someone with experience in bottling or canning would be a good fit. HSE qualification desirable.

Minimum Requirements:

To be considered for this role, as a minimum you must be dynamic, a self-starter and have a can do attitude. You will be a well rounded supply chain professional within the FMCG/Ambient food sector with a PROVEN TRACK RECORD of delivering tangible savings to a business and whilst improving service levels. You will be a dynamic leader with a passion for developing your teams skills and performance. You will have experience in a supply chain role serving the major multiples and posses a strong operational understanding.
