Intake Quality Control Team Leader
Our Client is a successful leading Fresh Produce importer and supplier to the major UK retailers. We are currently seeking a Intake Quality Control Team Leader within the packhouse on their behalf.
Reporting to the Quality Manager, the role of QC Team Leader will be responsible for all aspects relating to product quality within the packhouse, shelf-life analyses, traceability, trials, and some involvement with BRC. Leading and motivating the team, the successful individual will ensure adequate staff levels, and consistent high performance is achieved through KPI management on a daily basis.
Managing a small team of intake inspectors checking the quality of the fruit coming onto site. Good excel / pc skills are required. Fresh Produce knowledge is an advantage. This role will work a fixed 12 hour day over 4 days, which will include a weekend day. (Sun, Mon, Tues, Weds).
We require an individual who has worked in a similar position within the Fresh Produce sector, with experience & confidence to manage a team. A professional manner, good communication & inter-personal skills combined, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
