We are seeking a talented individual to join an innovative, high quality manufacturer which supplies to various retailers throughout the UK. You will join a friendly and supportive team with a fantastic, fun working atmosphere.

The job

As Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for providing immediate support in the event of machinery breakdowns, maximising the plant availability on a range of process and packaging lines, proactively improving equipment operation to reduce machine downtime and increase production efficiency, carrying out tasks with minimal supervision and conducting work appropriately and safely and also ensuring all machinery and services are in good working order, ready for production use.

Your experience

We are looking for a passionate and driven Engineer who enjoys working in a fast paced and energetic environment. You will have electrical and mechanical experience, have ideally completed a time served apprenticeship and preferably hold recognised mechanical and/or electrical qualifications such as BTech Electrical Engineering and 17th Edition. You will ideally have previous experience from an FMCG / food manufacturing environment.

The Shift Engineer job is based in Home Counties / East Anglia region and is paying £32,000 - £38,000 according to individual skills and previous experience. The working hours will be a rotation of 8 hours shifts including days and nights, Monday to Friday.
