Manucomm are currently seeking a Laboratory Technician to join their team. The role The post is a member of the technical team and reports into the Factory Technical Manager but with a strong working relationship into the site production shift teams.
The Laboratory Technician will be responsible for:-
·Providing a testing, QC service within the production function, ensuring all standards are adhered to, and escalated to the appropriate responsible person if issues arise.
·Liaise with the Shift Manager to agree & implement action plans when issues arise ·Monitor operations carried out by production staff in compliance with site standards.
To apply for the role of Laboratory Technician you will need:
·Previous experience in a product testing environment with knowledge of working within a Quality Management System (essential)
·Trained in Laboratory testing duties (essential)
·Experienced with pack integrity procedures (essential)
·Food Technology or Technical qualifications (desirable) – note: graduates in a relevant subject without significant on the job experience will be considered
·Educated to degree level or equivalent (desirable), or A – level or equivalent (essential)
·ICT skills to include Microsoft Office packages (essential)
·Strong numeracy ability and communication skills, written and verbal (essential)
·Hygiene and housekeeping skills to ensure a clean and safe area
The Laboratory Technician role is Mon – Friday (8 hr shifts) 2 weeks Days and then 2 weeks Nights
Salary - £18k
This role is commutable from Tiverton, Exeter, Newton Abbot, Cullompton
